Types of Raspberry Pi

Raspberry Pi Model B

This is an advanced version of raspberry pie. After this design of this raspberry pi, it has been extended to the next model i.e. raspberry pi 2. Raspberry pi model B specifications are as follows, raspberry pi model B has two USB ports, 512MB of RAM and an Ethernet port is 100MB. A basic picture of the Raspberry Pi model is shown below.

  • Lower Power Consumption: In the low power consumption linear regulators are replaced by switching one and will reduce power consumption between 0.5W and 1W.
  • Better Audio: The audio circuit has a low noise power supply.
  • Neater Form Factor: USB connections are arranged with wide edges and video is transmitted composite with a 3.5mm jack. There are four squarely placed maintenance holes.

The Raspberry Pi Model A+ is a smaller, lower-cost version of the Raspberry Pi. It is based on the BCM2835 system-on-chip (SoC), which includes an ARM11 processor and a powerful GPU. The Raspberry Pi Model A+ is highly recommended for embedded and low-power projects that don't require Ethernet or multiple USB ports.

Advantages of Raspberry Pi:

Disadvantages of Raspberry Pi:

  • Raspberry Pi is not a computer replacement, and the processor is not as fast. Downloading and installing software takes time, so you won’t be able to do any intricate multitasking.
  • Other operating systems, such as windows are incompatible.
  • This product will not be beneficial for large businesses that already have large servers, which can perform all of the tasks that the Raspberry Pi can.
  • Missing graphics processor.
  • As a result, it would not be worth it, and putting everything together would take time.
